How guides are made
- Real questions first. Topics come from questions buyers actually ask during sourcing projects.
- Research. Facts are checked against primary sources — customs authorities, the ICC for Incoterms, carriers and standards bodies — and linked in each article.
- Drafting. We use AI tools to help research and draft. No guide is published without a human editor checking every claim.
- Field review. A reviewer with hands-on sourcing experience signs off each guide; their name is shown on the page.
- Updates. Prices, tariffs and dates change. Guides are re-checked regularly and the “Updated” date reflects the last real review.
Independence
Quote requests go to a sourcing partner (see the partner disclosure). Editorial content is written to be useful whether or not you use any service. We do not publish supplier or agent rankings.
Corrections
