EORI number
Also known as: EORI, Economic Operators Registration and Identification number, EORI 번호
The Economic Operators Registration and Identification number that businesses need to import into or export from the EU or the UK, used to identify them on customs declarations.
An EU EORI starts with the two-letter code of the issuing member state followed by up to 15 characters; non-EU businesses apply in the EU country where they make their first customs declaration. The UK issues its own GB EORI through GOV.UK for goods moving between Great Britain and other countries. An EORI does not expire, but it can be invalidated.
Get the EORI before the goods leave China. If the importer shown on the paperwork has no valid EORI, the shipment can sit at the port while storage costs build up. See EXW vs FOB vs DDP.
