RoHS
Also known as: RoHS Directive, Directive 2011/65/EU, Restriction of Hazardous Substances, 유해물질 사용제한 지침
The EU directive 2011/65/EU that restricts ten hazardous substances, including lead, mercury, cadmium and certain phthalates, in electrical and electronic equipment.
RoHS applies to almost any product with an electrical or electronic component, from chargers to LED toys. The limits apply per homogeneous material, for example 0.1% by weight for lead and 0.01% for cadmium, so a single solder joint or cable coating can make a product fail. RoHS compliance is part of the CE declaration for electrical products sold in the EU.
Ask the Chinese factory for a RoHS test report on your exact model and its components, not a generic report for "all our products". See CE, UKCA, FCC and CPC product certifications.
