Xiamen's plumbing and sanitary-ware industry produced RMB 33 billion in output in 2021, with more than 270 kitchen and bath manufacturers, 131 of them above designated size, and exports to over 180 countries and regions. The city is also a main gateway for the Chinese stone trade and hosts the Xiamen International Stone Fair, whose 2026 edition covered 191,000 square metres. Its container port ranked seventh in China in 2025, which makes Xiamen the natural export point for factories across southern Fujian, including Jinjiang/Quanzhou and Dehua.

Buyer tips
- Faucets and fittings need market-specific approvals: NSF/ANSI 61 and 372 lead-free plus UPC/cUPC for North America, WRAS or ACS for the UK and France; many Xiamen factories hold these, but check the listing covers the exact model and brass alloy you are buying.
- Xiamen's sanitary-ware base is dominated by large OEM/ODM exporters with established QC, so MOQs and minimum order values are higher than in smaller hardware towns; small buyers often start with the factory's existing designs plus custom finish or packaging.
- For stone, inspect slabs for colour and vein consistency across the full lot (approve the actual slabs, not a sample chip), and require ISPM 15 certified wooden crates to avoid problems at destination customs.
- Xiamen is more of an electronics component and display base than a finished-gadget market; for consumer electronics with many SKUs, compare with Shenzhen suppliers, but use Xiamen for outdoor gear and fitness goods produced locally.

Port-to-port, in days. Door-to-door adds inland haulage, customs and final delivery. Most Asia–North Europe services still sail around the Cape of Good Hope; the range assumes that routing. Some services are returning to Suez from September 2026, which shortens the trip to about the “via Suez” figure.
