CPSIA
Also known as: Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act, Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008, 미국 소비자제품안전개선법
The US Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008, which sets lead and phthalate limits for children's products and requires third-party testing, certificates and tracking labels.
For China sourcing, CPSIA matters mainly when you import toys, baby items and other children's products for the US. Such products must be tested by a CPSC-accepted laboratory, certified with a Children's Product Certificate, and carry permanent tracking information on the product and packaging where practicable. Non-children's products under CPSC rules need a General Certificate of Conformity instead.
A common mistake is testing a pre-production sample and then letting the factory change paint, plastic or a component supplier without retesting. Tie the approved materials to your order and inspect before shipment. See CE, UKCA, FCC and CPC product certifications.
