Chenghai district of Shantou is one of China's main toy manufacturing clusters, and Baoao International Toy City, which opened on 28 April 2016 alongside the Chenghai toy fair, is its largest showroom and trading complex. Showrooms display factory ranges so buyers can compare many manufacturers in one visit, then place orders for production. It suits toy importers and distributors placing carton or container orders rather than very small mixed buys. Order terms are typically factory-style, with deposits and lead times.
