Huangyuan is Yiwu's main clothing wholesale market, moved into its current building in spring 2011 when the old Binwang market's garment trade relocated. It sits in the city centre rather than out at the Trade City, and covers jeans, menswear, womenswear, sleepwear, knitwear, sportswear and kidswear across five trading floors. It suits boutique owners, market traders and small online shops wanting mixed, lower- to mid-price apparel; it is not the place for fast-fashion trend depth, where Guangzhou is stronger. Many stalls sell by the pack (a set of sizes per style) and some offer small custom runs.

Getting there

In central Yiwu, a short taxi ride from Yiwu railway station. Bus routes listed for Huangyuan include 8, 13, 201, 206, 218, 818 and BRT1 (confirm current routes).
