Guzhen, known as China's 'lighting capital', is a town whose economy revolves around lighting manufacturing and trade. Large malls such as Starlight Alliance (opened October 2014) and Huayi Plaza showcase hundreds of brands, while separate markets sell lamp components. It suits lighting retailers, interior contractors and online lighting sellers. Most showrooms represent factories, so custom finishes and project orders are common; the spring and autumn Guzhen lighting fairs are the busiest times.
