Datang in Zhuji is often called the world's sock capital: local industry is reported to make about 70% of China's socks and roughly a third of global output. Datang Sock City, established in 2001, trades raw materials, sock machinery and finished socks and ties into a full local supply chain from yarn to dyeing and packaging. It suits sock brands and importers wanting factory-direct production with custom designs and packaging. For small mixed orders from stock, Yiwu District 4's sock floor is usually more convenient.
