Taizhou's Wenling produced more than 40% of China's water pumps in 2024, and over 70% of its small pumps, according to China Taxation News. The city's Huangyan district is known as China's mould town, holding about 80% of the national market for extrusion moulds, 75% for blow moulds and 30% for injection moulds, according to Zhejiang Daily (2025). Six of China's ten largest sewing-equipment makers are based in Taizhou. For buyers, it is a strong base for custom plastic products, pumps and machinery parts.

Buyer tips
- For custom plastic products, source the mould and the moulding separately if needed; agree mould steel grade, cavity count, expected shot life and mould ownership in the contract, and get T1 samples before paying the balance.
- Wenling pumps range from branded exporters to thousands of small workshops; ask for CE (Machinery and LVD) or UL/CSA reports, motor efficiency data, and run-tests on the actual pump model, and check whether the motor is made in-house.
- Household plastics and food containers from Huangyan need food-contact compliance (FDA 21 CFR, EU 10/2011, LFGB) and BPA-free material declarations; request resin supplier documentation.
