Anji's chair industry produced RMB 31.19 billion of output in 2024, up 6.4%, within a wider green home-furnishing sector worth RMB 39.11 billion and more than 1,700 related companies, according to Xinhua. The county is known as China's 'hometown of chairs' and is a key base for office and gaming chairs sold through cross-border e-commerce. Anji is also one of China's best-known bamboo counties, with over 900 bamboo-processing firms making flooring, panels, kitchenware and plastic-replacement products.

Buyer tips
- Office and gaming chairs are sold by component spec: ask for the gas-lift class (e.g. SGS/TUV class 3 or 4), base material (nylon vs aluminium) and caster type, and test to BIFMA X5.1 for the US or EN 1335 for Europe.
- Chairs ship knocked-down; confirm carton drop testing and loadability (units per 40HQ) early, because freight often decides landed cost more than the ex-works price.
- Many sellers compete on near-identical Amazon designs, so check design patents and avoid copying listed products; ask factories for their own tooling or pay for exclusive moulds.
