Huaqiangbei in Shenzhen's Futian district held 35 specialist markets with close to 20,000 merchants at the end of 2022, and its 847 above-scale companies generated more than 240 billion yuan in revenue that year. It is the densest one-stop marketplace in China for components, finished gadgets and accessories, backed by thousands of electronics factories across the Pearl River Delta. For buyers it doubles as a sampling floor and a gateway to OEM/ODM makers, though many stall holders are traders rather than manufacturers.

Buyer tips
- Treat Huaqiangbei stalls as a sampling and price-discovery tool: most booths are traders, so ask for the factory's business licence and visit the production site before placing volume orders.
- Anything with a battery, radio or charger needs proper paperwork for your market (FCC/CE-RED, UL/IEC 62368-1, UN38.3 and MSDS for lithium cells); request the test reports in the supplier's own company name and check they match the exact model.
- Off-the-shelf 'public mould' (公模) products allow low MOQs of a few hundred units with logo printing, but custom PCBs, firmware or tooling push MOQs to 1,000-3,000+ and add tooling fees.
- Beware of recycled or relabelled chips and inflated battery capacities; specify component brands in the PO and run pre-shipment functional and burn-in tests.

Port-to-port, in days. Door-to-door adds inland haulage, customs and final delivery. Most Asia–North Europe services still sail around the Cape of Good Hope; the range assumes that routing. Some services are returning to Suez from September 2026, which shortens the trip to about the “via Suez” figure.
