Guzhen, a town in Zhongshan, was reported in 2024 to hold about 70% of China's lighting market and 50% of the global market. Its lighting cluster exceeds 100 billion yuan in annual output and brings together more than 30,000 businesses and over 200,000 workers along the full chain, from die-cast parts and drivers to finished fixtures. Showrooms line the town's main roads, so buyers can compare hundreds of styles in a day.

Buyer tips
- Many Guzhen showrooms are brands or traders that subcontract; ask which fixtures they actually assemble and where the LED drivers and chips come from.
- Lighting for the US needs UL/ETL listing (UL 1598 and related) and FCC for LED drivers; for the EU, CE (LVD/EMC), RoHS, ErP/ecodesign and energy labels. A supplier's 'CE certificate' from an unknown lab is not enough.
- Decorative chandeliers often have low MOQs (tens of pieces) because they are hand-assembled, while custom LED fixtures with new moulds or optics need MOQs in the hundreds or thousands.
- Check lumen output, CRI and driver quality against the spec sheet in a pre-shipment inspection, and specify drop-test packaging for glass and crystal fittings.
